I really fell behind on the blogging (by 5 months –
YIKES)!!! Many of you have let me know
that I need to update, so here you go!
A few days before Christmas we took the kids to the
Winter Wonderland at the Gaylord Hotel.
We went through the ICE exhibit, snow tubed, made family gingerbread
house, and ate a yummy dinner. The kids
loved each activity and did not want to leave.
We had a wonderful Christmas! On Christmas Eve, we went to my sister
Jamie’s house and ate our traditional tamale dinner. On Christmas morning, Santa definitely found
our house and the twins’ got plenty of things to keep them busy for quite
awhile. We ate a delicious breakfast and
then went to Luby’s later that afternoon for an early dinner and then my mom’s
to play games. It was great getting to
spend time with the whole family.
After Christmas my mom and I took the twins to the Fort
Worth Museum of Science and History to see the Curious George exhibit. We got a membership for the year so that we
can take them frequently. They had a
blast exploring all of the exhibits and we finished off the fun with dinner at
the Mexican Inn.
On New Year’s Eve, we went to my sister Jamie’s house for
dinner and to watch the ball drop. The
kids were excited to be apart of the countdown and we welcomed in the New Year
together. Tim and I reflected on the
goals that we had made for 2013 and checked off the things we accomplished and
added the things we are still working on, to the list of goals for 2014. This has become an annual tradition that allows
us to set goals as individuals, as a couple, and as a family.
