April Already!

I cannot believe that is already April!!  Time definitely flies.  Things have been going well for us.  The twins still have a little bit of a cough due to allergies.  This past weekend I started feeling bad and went straight to the doctor - upper respiratory infection and double ear infections - yuck!  I have been on antibiotics and a strong cough medicine and am starting to feel much better.

Tim's job is going really well!  I cannot express what a blessing it is for him to be able to work from home and make his own schedule.  We are able to have such great family time during the week and on the weekends.  His real estate business is in full swing and he has numerous clients looking to buy and a few wanting to sell.  We are praying that each of these transactions goes well!

ECI came today and our OT was again amazed at how great the twins are doing.  Tayden knows all of his colors and Brooklyn knows almost all of them - which is a skill not usually mastered until age 3!  We made their final OT appointment for May and then scheduled their evaluation for June.  We have been assured that they will exit from the program at that time.  There are no real goals for us to work on for the coming month, other than continuing to work with Tayden on the stairs.  The twins are talking in full phrases now and have us laughing many times a day.  They love to talk about everyone they know and where they live.  We often talk about Poppy (my dad) and how he lives in Heaven.  Brooklyn says that Poppy lives in Kevin (my cousin).  They also like to talk about animals and where they live.  Tonight Tayden told me that the alligator from his puzzle lives in Abilene with Pawpaw and Nana.  We always play the "who wants a ..... game," and they both raise their hands and say, "I do," no matter what the item is.  They still both LOVE to sing and dance and this is a huge part of our daily routine.

A few funny stories to share - Brooklyn has been climbing up in her high chair and then climbing down, instead of sitting down to eat.  One night I was getting upset with her and had already spanked her, when she closed her eyes while standing upright in the high chair and said, "I love you Jesus."  She was starting to pray.  It was hilarious.  I then explained that Jesus wanted her to sit in her chair.  The twins love taking baths and Tayden loves using his "shampoop."  Last week I gave them their toothbrushes and they were brushing away.  I told them to remember to brush their top and bottom teeth.  I turned around to get the towels from the cabinet and turned back around to find them both brushing their bottoms.  They took my words to heart, or to bottom should I say!

I find time each day to reflect on our many blessings.  I want to freeze time (most of the time) and cherish every single moment and record every funny thing that they say.  Tim and I find ourselves looking at each other so many times a day, when things are funny, when we are exhausted, but most of all when we realize that we are the mommy and daddy of two healthy, beautiful, and sweet children.  I am so lucky to have him to share all of life's blessings with.  He is an amazing husband and father.

We are praying for all of those who were impacted by the tornadoes today.  It is so scary that weather can be so unpredicatable and hit without much warning, leaving mass destruction.  I am very fortunate to work in an underground school - which makes me feel very safe, but I hate to be separated from Tim and the kids, and sweet SueSue who was with them today.
