33 Weeks Gestational Age - New House for Tayden

Tayden's open air crib
Peeking out from his blankets
Flashing a smile
Brooklyn with her daddy
Still growing into her hat
They moved the scripture that SueSue originially put in their isolettes - Psalm 139:14
Today was a milestone day for Tayden.  He has done so well maintaining his body temperature that they moved him to an open air crib.  It is really small, but it fits him just right!  It still seems so very strange to see him in it, but he is becoming a big boy and this is the next step.  It was so much easier changing his diaper this evening.  I was also able to pick him up myself to hold him.  He is still hooked up to the monitors, but access is much easier.  Brooklyn had a good day as well.  Her nose is much much better and she was sleeping really well the entire time we were there.  They think she should be getting an open air crib within a few days.  We had our touch time at 5:00 and then when the NICU closed at 6:30 we decided to come home and straighten up the house.  Tim finished the changing table - which is beautiful, and we worked for awhile in the nursery hanging up clothes and filling drawers with diapers, wipes, blankets, and burp rags.  We are trying to be absolutely ready for the babies, because we know that once they come home everything will be turned upside down - in a very good way.  We are ready to have them home and have our family under one roof.  The next obstacle the twins will tackle is bottle feeding with a nipple.  The nurse today warned us that this is often times the hardest step in the process.  They should start working on feeding this weekend.  Please keep them in your prayers - that they will take to the bottle, be successful, and continue gaining weight.

Psalm 139:14
Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;
You formed me in my mother's womb.
I thank you High God - you're breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
I worship in adoration - what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book you watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared
before I'd even lived one day.
